26 Fun Facts With FC Dallas Numbers Through 26 games

1- Win for Dario Sala this season after getting his first W of the season on Saturday at Kansas City

2-Red cards Dallas has been shown this season. The lowest number since 2006.

3-Game winning goals this season for Brek Shea and Jeff Cunningham who are tied for the team lead

4-Penalty kick goals for David Ferreira in five attempts this season

5-Games in a row to start the season in which FC Dallas trailed on the scoreboard. In their next 21 games, FC Dallas has also trailed in 5 of them.

6-Assists for Heath Pearce this season. The most by an FCD defender since Bobby Rhine had 8 as a left back in 2005.

7-Yellow cards on the season for Atiba Harris, the team leader.

8-Games in which FC Dallas has trailed this season that they didn’t lose.

9-Shutouts for FC Dallas this season, all with Kevin Hartman in goal. The most since the Dallas Burn pitched 9 shutouts in 2001 and 12 in 1999.

10-Goals for Jeff Cunningham in 1,302 minutes this season. A strike rate that is not far off his stellar 2009 campaign and the seventh time he’s scored in double digits for a season.

11-Wins for FC Dallas this season through 26 games

12-Assists for David Ferreira in 26 games, just two shy of Landon Donovan for the league lead and three behind Jason Kreis(1999) for the franchise record

13-Draws for FC Dallas this season, the most in team history.

Jump for the other 13 super fun facts! I had to stretch for some of the higher numbers.

14-Games played by Eric Alexander. The rookie from Indiana has logged some huge minutes for FC Dallas this season. Who here thought that would be the case(and FCD would be so successful) at the start of the season?

15-Fouls suffered by Ugo Ihemelu(I got nothin)

16-Starts for the rookie Zach Loyd through 26 games. The Oklahoma kid has shown that he can play any position on the back line and will be a fixture on the team sheet for years to come. Will he be groomed for d-mid eventually?

17-If you don’t know the significance of the number 17 right now, well I can’t really help you…

18-Games FC Dallas has led this season, a remarkable number when you consider they’ve only played 26 games.

19-Combined goals and assists for David Ferreira, tied for third in the league behind Landon Donovan and Sebastien Le Toux

20-Games started by Kevin Hartman in goal…Love ya Dario, but hope this number changes before the year is over

21-What the number 17 will need to become if FCD wants to have any shot at the Supporter’s Shield.

22-Goals allowed by FC Dallas this season. 21 goals less than what FCD allowed through 30 games last year.

23-Shots on goal for Cunny this season producing 10 goals.

24-This is really getting difficult

25-Starts for Atiba Harris this season. Harris has been criticized by just about everyone this season, myself included, but the fact remains that Atiba has started every game he could have(suspended for the other one) and is second in minutes played on a team that has lost twice. He’s doing something right.

26-And finally, 26 is the number of games David Ferreira has started this season after logging 30 starts last year. Seriously folks, Ferreira has started every game of the past two seasons for FC Dallas, is always at the top of the list for fouls suffered and still produces like almost no one else in the league. Whatever kind of money this guy wants in the offseason he gets and “El Torito” is quickly making a case for himself to be inserted into the franchise all-time best XI.
